What is the minimum age requirement?
This event is for 21 yrs and older. No exceptions.
Is there a dress code?
Yes. Dress to Impress…whatever that means to you! Think Grown & Sexy vibes. We’ve had guests dress in semi-formal attire to complete Speakeasy themed style.
Do I need to arrive at the start of my scheduled session?
We strongly suggest arriving at your scheduled session. Guests will have three (3) different entry times to select from. Please arrive at your designated entry time.
What happens if I arrive late?
No worries! We can accommodate you once we have accommodated those who’ve arrived on time.
Can I smoke or vape?
No flower smoking allowed indoors. The venue only allows vaping and dabbing. We will have a dab and vape bar onsite but you are allowed to bring your own devices. We suggest bringing e-rigs such as Puffco peaks and other electronic vaporizers
Will alcohol be available on-site for purchase?
Yes, there will be a cash bar onsite. We are aware that not everyone consumes Cannabis but still would like to be a part of the event. That being said, we advise not to cross-consume. It is not recommended to consume cannabis and alcohol together.
Please Note: we reserve the right to stop serving any attendee who displays noticeable intoxication for your own safety and the safety of those around you. We encourage our patrons to drink responsibly and enjoy the night!
Is there parking nearby?
The event is located in Chicago’s South Loop/Motor Row District and parking will be very limited. There is metered street parking and valet service available at a $20 charge. An Infused Filipino Brunch by AdoboLoko (2 of 3)
What is Filipino food???
There has been a rise of Filipino food in America and over the last couple of years, many Filipino restaurants have surfaced here in Chicago. With Ube (purple yam) being the new gateway delicacy to the rest of the culture, being seen at mainstream shelves such as Trader Joe’s Ube ice cream and pancake mixes, the world has been enamored by this versatile purple treat. But besides ube, what exactly is Filipino food?
Commonly referred to as the “original fusion cuisine” with influences from Spain, Malaysia, China, and the US, dishes range from simple to complex creations with sweet, sour, savory, and tangy flavors.
Popular dishes include: lechon (whole roasted pig), longganisa (Philippine sausage), tapa (cured beef), torta (omelette), and adobo (chicken or pork braised in garlic, vinegar, oil and soy sauce). But nothing hits the spot like a Filipino breakfast!
We’ve partnered up with published & Filipino cuisine expert Chef Robert Menor of AdoboLoko to bring back a brunch pop-up restaurant on July 25!

Limited to 14 seats, this pop-up will indulge all your senses and give you a first class seat to the Philippines on July 25.
Among the infused 5-courses, Chef Rob will include a special dish recently featured on the latest issue of Chicago Magazine along with a savory palette of traditional Filipino flavors with a modern twist. Also launching his edibles line, 8th Street Treats, you’ll also get to sample his infamous ube treats called Ube Doobies.

An Infused Filipino Brunch by AdoboLoko
What is Filipino food???
There has been a rise of Filipino food in America and over the last couple of years, many Filipino restaurants have surfaced here in Chicago. With Ube (purple yam) being the new gateway delicacy to the rest of the culture, being seen at mainstream shelves such as Trader Joe’s Ube ice cream and pancake mixes, the world has been enamored by this versatile purple treat. But besides ube, what exactly is Filipino food?
Commonly referred to as the “original fusion cuisine” with influences from Spain, Malaysia, China, and the US, dishes range from simple to complex creations with sweet, sour, savory, and tangy flavors.
Popular dishes include: lechon (whole roasted pig), longganisa (Philippine sausage), tapa (cured beef), torta (omelette), and adobo (chicken or pork braised in garlic, vinegar, oil and soy sauce). But nothing hits the spot like a Filipino breakfast!
We’ve partnered up with published & Filipino cuisine expert Chef Robert Menor of AdoboLoko to create a brunch pop-up restaurant on May 23rd!

What can I expect from the brunch experience?
Walk in and be greeted by our host who will check your temperature, check you in, point you to your table, and direct you to the KAPE (Coffee) Station. You’ll also see featured artwork by local Filipina artist, @Cookie.Kwan, and our specialty SARI SARI store.
Where is the experience located?
In typical HUSH fashion, the exact location of the event will only be disclosed 24 hours before the event begins. It will be in the Portage Park/Milwaukee & Irving Park 6 Corners area.
Does the experience take place in an indoor or outdoor venue?
The experience will be held in an indoor venue.
Is it COVID secure and safe?
We’ll be hosting and operating the event in a way that complies with all safety requirements.
Upon arrival, you’ll have your temperature checked and there will be accessible sanitization stations throughout the venue. If you have a high measured temperature of 100.4° F (38° C) or greater, you will not be allowed to enter.
Will alcohol be available on site for purchase?

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Will, aka The Puffin Guru, is Hush’s Event Manager with 15 years of teaching experience in performance arts and related leadership positions. He started leading dance workshops at the age of 15 and by age 19, started learning circus from a pre-professional circus school and trained in the Afro-Brazilian art of Capoeira. At age 21 Will started competitive gymnastics, focused in Trampoline and Tumbling, becoming a 2011 regional champion and national qualifier. In 2012 he headed to Illinois State University to graduate with a focus in Cultural Anthropology by 2015. Since his start he has taught individuals from across age ranges, those with and without movement experience, as well as individuals with mental and physical impairments.
“By combining the medicinal effects of cannabis with exercise and better nutrition, we as a community can show the world how powerful the community of cannabis truly is”. Will has adapted the “Reach One Teach One” narrative not only because of the historical depth it carries in the African diaspora, but by seeing it manifest in his own life. It draws upon the idea of supplying the demand for the needs in your community by building a foundation that is inclusive and understanding of people's needs. Through the perspective of accountable acknowledgement in being helped, we help the needs of others to build a stronger community as a whole. Since joining the Hush family, he has decided to help by creating an environment to share his holistic approach on how we treat cannabis.
